- 09:45 AM | Part 1: Spiritual Journey through Okunoin Meet at the Nakanohashi parking area. We begin in Japan's most sacred cemetery, where your guide reveals hidden legends among the 200,000 monuments. We will witness the "Shojin-ku," the 1,200-year-old ritual of offering meals to Kobo Daishi.

Solo Travelers: Tours will not run with only one participant unless other guests are already booked. Please email us to see if you can join an existing group. If you would like to ensure the tour runs for just yourself, you can book by paying the rate for two participants.
Small-Group Format: This is a semi-private experience with a maximum of 5 people. You may be joined by other like-minded travelers.
Physical Fitness: Guests should be in good health. The trail includes one 5-minute steep mountain ascent and uneven forest terrain.
Important Booking Information
Footwear: Sturdy walking shoes or sneakers with good grip are required. High heels or sandals are strictly prohibited for safety.
Dietary Needs: The standard lunch is Buddhist Vegetarian. Non-vegetarian requests must be made at the time of booking.
Weather & Clothing: The tour proceeds in light rain but will be cancelled in severe weather. Temperatures are 5°C (9°F) lower than in the city, so please bring layers.
Seasonal Availability: This tour is unavailable from December to February due to winter snow conditions.
Insect Repellent: Highly recommended during warmer months as we walk through a wildlife reserve.
